Chelsea’s House has a great number of resources and we can refer you to therapists, programs, and licensed professionals as needed. Perhaps you have a connection with a therapist or life coach that you want to continue. We encourage you to keep what works and add resources where it will benefit your recovery. There are no referral fees and Chelsea’s House our vetted licensed professionals accept a variety of insurances.

Kennedy Library, Brandeis University, and many venerable and start-up businesses. If you have many outside commitments, or are ready to return to work, Teras can be a good entry point directly from treatment. For others, after 1-6 months at Tharros, clients may choose to transition to Teras. THE SPECIAL EXTRASOn the main level overlooking the great lawn and breathtaking mountain views, the grand terrace was carved from bedrock to make a sweeping slope, envisioning a potential nine-hole golf course.

​When you arrive at the house, you will undergo an initial discussion and orientation with the Program Director, including a dialogue on the past events that led you here. Together, we will start discussing what you want to achieve by engaging the support at Tharros. There are general rules of the house that everyone is required to follow.

  1. That’s why we encourage our clients to consider staying 6 months to one year.
  2. At Teras, we offer structured sober living with flexible structure to meet the needs of those returning to family, work, school, or other commitments.
  3. For others, after 1-6 months at Tharros, clients may choose to transition to Teras.
  4. If you have many outside commitments, or are ready to return to work, Teras can be a good entry point directly from treatment.
  5. However, experience has shown us, not every person with an addiction or alcoholism is the same.

A sober living environment reinforces honesty and integrity as it supports you on your journey to acquiring a great new lifestyle. Christian Santilli is the Co-Program Director at Chelsea’s House. He started his recovery journey atan inpatient, recovery program, outside of his hometown of Philadelphia. He spent13 months in the Tharros community, giving him a unique ability to relate to theclients he works with. He worked as an actor and teacher in theBoston area before finding a passion for working with other recovering addicts andalcoholics. Inside of his work at Chelsea’s House, he has found the empathicconnection and capacity for change he was always looking for in acting.

Days Without Food: Two Weeks Later

Chelsea’s House, a supporter of Sober House Directory, builds sober home communities where residents are supported in their recovery journeys. Chelsea’s House sees a world where every person in recovery has access to a supportive, healthy, and safe home environment built on respect, focused on recovery, and lead by peers. Residents live together as a family to develop the tools and strengthen their character in order to live free from substance abuse. Each individual is supported to make his own choices in his recovery. Tharros offers an extensive and flexible peer support program to helps clients navigate important changes and decisions. Our team provides support to ongoing clinical work as part of that process. Our experience has been that once our clients arrive at Chelsea’s House, they understand and feel the benefits.
